What to Expect at our Gatherings
Sunday at 8:30AM
At 8:30 we gather as a small group for a traditional Book of Common Prayer Communion service.
Atmosphere: Quiet and relaxed.
Music: No music.
Readings and Reflection: We read the New Testiment and Gospel Reading from the BCP lectionary and hear Rev Steve discuss them.
Sunday at 9:40AM and 10:00AM
We gather at 9:40am with our worship band leading singing. People drift in between 9:30 and 10 depending on thier schedual and how their morning is going.
At 10am we continue with a service that includes time to read the bible, sing and pray together.
Music: A mix of modern music and traditional hymns.
Readings and Reflections: Our minister or some other person will read and discuss parts of the bible.
Communion: We share the Lord's Supper sometimes when we meet. All are very welcome to take part, and if you are just exploring faith then we welcome you to come and observe or to be prayed for or blessed by our minister. Our service follows the form of the Anglican Church, with prayers and readings that the congregation can take part in if they wish.
We still gather at 9:30am for music but it is projected on our big screen at the front of the church. We wear masks to enter and exit the building and have marked seating so you can safely sit properlly distanced. Our service music is sung by our worship band, and we do not have a coffee and tea time for visiting after church. Often we visit with each other after the service outside in the parking lot.
When we have communion we use best practices to ensure all are safe.
People of all ages are welcome at all of our gatherings and services. Whether you are 1 or 91 we are so glad that you are able to join us. We have activity bags for use in our services so children can stay with their parents. As the COVID situation improves, we hope that we can get back to having a separate childrens program for those who wish soon.
We meet at 15 South Street Trenton.
